Hamilton Neighbour to Neighbour Food Bank
The picture was taken on April 28th, 2016. We presented 2 cheques totaling $1,000.00 to Denise Arkell at Neighbour to Neighbour Food bank. The Insurance Brokers Association of Hamilton matched our employee’s contribution of $500.00 for a total donation of $1,000.00.

ALS Ice Bucket Challenge
Our staff recently participated in the ALS ice bucket challenge. We are proud to donate $1,200.00 to the ALS foundation.
Tim Horton Children's Foundation
Perhaps our most significant contribution to the community has been our close to 30-year involvement with the Tim Horton Children's Foundation.
Through these years, Mitchell & Abbott have helped to send tens of thousands of underprivileged children to summer camps across Canada and into the United States. Today, our President and CEO, Mr. Wayne Abbott, serves as a Fund-raising Ambassador for the Foundation.
Neighbour to Neighbour Centre
The staff and Management of The Mitchell & Abbott Group Insurance Brokers are proud Community supporters. We believe strongly in giving back to the community we live and work in.
Neighbour to Neighbour Centre in Hamilton, Ontario is one of the organizations we have had a long involvement with. We attend many of their fund raising events throughout the year. Via our biweekly "casual days", we donate non-perishable food items and cash to the food bank. Last Christmas our staff donated $1,200 to the Christmas Hamper program at Neighbour to Neighbour. Our staff has also donated their time to assist with the Christmas Hamper program. For the last six years Mitchell & Abbott Group has held a BBQ for the residents of St. Elizabeth Village on Hamilton's West Mountain. The residents bring cash & non perishable food donations and our staff serves up a hot lunch! Over the past 6 years we have raised 4,637 pounds of food and $2,151.00 in cash for the food bank at Neighbour to Neighbour.
Able Living & City Kidz
Our charitable support has also been extended to Able Living which provides independent living for adults with disabilities and City Kidz, an organization dedicated to improving the lives of inner city children.
Youth Sports
Over the years many Hamilton youth have enjoyed playing sports on teams sponsored by The Mitchell and Abbott Group. We have regularly donated to the Fallen Firefighters, Wheelchair Basketball and our Veterans just to name a few.
We are very proud of the fact that to-date we have managed to raise over $1 Million for the various charitable causes we support.
